台灣布袋戲又稱掌中戲，偶戲當中最能傳達台灣美學特色的平民化戲種。本次特展豐富囊括布袋戲的偶戲歷史、類型多元及多樣，為長久以來深受國民喜愛的偶藝，呈現傳統及新潮間的定調與影響。

Taiwanese hand puppet show, the “theater in palms,” is the civil theater expressing the most Taiwanese aesthetic characteristics among puppetry. This special exhibition has a rich collection of the puppet history of Budaixi and the diverse and various puppets deeply loved by the citizens for long, presenting the tuning and effect between the tradition and the new wave.
